Rep. Mari Leavitt holds Town Hall at Lakewood Council Chambers

State Representative Mari Leavitt stopped by Lakewood City Hall, January 9th, to report on Washington Legislative progress and take questions from the assembly of a couple dozen people.

She was joined by the mayor, Chief of Police, and a council member. Topics they reported were the reduction in crime, Ft. Steilacoom activities, Transportation budget and construction, Housing, Education, and Public Safety.

Questions ranged from women's rights, early childhood education, senior’s tax exemptions, emergency shelters, 6% state budget cut, etc.

Leavitt is one of two representatives assigned to the 28th District, which covers most of Lakewood. Her office can be reached at 360-786-7890.
